You might have heard that the Daily Mail had something to say about Britney's figure a few days ago - and the words weren't exactly flattering. Here's what they commented about Britney's pictures from her Circus tour:

Perhaps Britney Spears was exploring different sides of her personality at her comeback show. Then again, she may have just been trying to find the right costume to flatter what is a rather fuller figure these days.

Now, Digital Spy reports that Britney is (understandably) upset about the comments:

Britney Spears is reportedly struggling to deal with criticism about her weight.
The singer is said to be 'devastated' by comments made during her 'Circus' world tour, dubbing her "Bulky Spears" and "jelly belly", according to Heat.

"Britney has been upset by some of the negative feedback she's been getting," a source said. "She's worked so hard on her figure and her fitness.

"She thought she was an unstoppable force, but now it's dawning on her that she's not as revered as she once was, which is causing her upset.

"She feels she's put a heck of a lot of effort into the tour. It's devastating for her to hear the criticisms. We just hope she doesn't take it too much to heart."

The star has allegedly started drinking specially-sourced shakes which include the African tree bark hoodia, thought to help with weight loss.

Britney Spears' tour takes its toll as fishnets can't hide the bruises on her thighs

Britney Spears' high-speed, all action extravaganza of a stage show has left a big impression on her fans - and also on her body.
The singer worked hard to get in shape for the 44-date Circus tour, but the performances - which see her change costumes 12 times and perform all over a fairground set - are beginning to take their toll

As she took to the stage in Florida last night, she was clearly sporting a series of painful-looking bruises on her inner and outer thighs.
Clad in a black bra, shorts, boots and fishnet tights, it looked as if the singer's pole-dancing routine may have been responsible for the unsightly marks.
Britney was performing the Tampa leg of her tour - her first in five years.
The 27-year-old has battled to return to the stage after suffering a breakdown last year which saw her lose custody of her children.

The mother-of-two has also been criticised for her weight gain and was publicly humiliated after a disastrous performance on the Video Music Awards in 2007.

A visibly overweight Britney struggled as she lip-synched to Gimme More and half-heartedly danced on stage.

On watching a tape of her routine, the distraught singer declared she looked like a 'fat pig'.

No creo que se vuelva anorexica, porque Britney tiene problemas mentales, ella vive de anti depresivos, y de vez en cuando, un poco de droga  ella toma .......Ademas Britney toma miles de productos para bajar de peso, vive de pastillas, productos reductores, pero ninguno le ha funcionado a la maravilla,pero en fin..

Tal cual...ademas inventaria chismes falsos de lujo, diria que Britney tiene 80 liposucciones o que Katy Perry canta bien en directo....seria perfecta en la prensa amarilla sip

no, no me llamo pero en varias fotos paparazzie se la ha visto con pastillas para bajar de peso, y ella mismo lo ha dicho ademas que su conducta es de una persona con problemas......
